Q: How do I purchase a Scriptum vinyl?
A: You can email us contact us on our Facebook page or purchase from our shop via the menu links above.
Q: I have an idea, can you do a custom order?
A: Absolutely! We would be happy to work with you to create your custom order. Please use the "Custom Request" form on the main menu above to submit your details.
Q: Do I have to have a finished design?
A: You can, but we also can create a custom vinyl based off of an idea, quote, abstract art, or anything else you can think of.
Q: Can you make a copy of a business or sports logo?
A: Unless you own the rights to copy or distribute the logo, the answer is probably no. Most logos are protected by copyright or trademark laws. If you are still in doubt, go ahead and submit the custom order request, and we'll take a look.
Q: What types of items can be created?
A: We can do almost anything you could imagine. From quotes, monograms, initials, abstract designs, shapes, animals and more. If you can draw it, we can probably make it. At our discretion, we will decline to print any images, words, or other artistic elements that we deem inappropriate, hateful, or just plain rude. We also have the right to refuse any order for any reason at our discretion, as outlined in our Terms of Service.
Q: Well what about...?
A: Go ahead and ask us. The worst we'll say is no.
Q: Does the entire thing have to be the same color?
A: No. We can do as many colors as you desire (and we have in stock). You may want to accent certain words in a quote or make a multicolor design. We can do those and more. Keep in mind that each additional color will increase the price of the product because of additional material and labor.
Q: If a Scriptum vinyl is too big or too small can you change it?
A: Yep. All of our designs are scalable and can be adjusted to fit your desired medium. The change in size will probably change the price of the item as well. Typically the ratio of width to height will remain the same.
Q: Is there a maximum size for a Scriptum vinyl?
A: Mostly yes. We are limited by the material we use and the equipment it is made on. However, if a quote is two lines, we could print them separately to make the overall piece bigger. We will make sure to let you know about special cases like these when you place your order.
Q: What about a minimum size?
A: This depends on the type of design. For example, if there are extremely thin lines, the vinyl won't have enough surface to adhere to the wall. If we think there will be a problem with the design, we will let you know before we create it.
Q: How long does it take to ship?
A: All products are made to order in the order that they are received. Generally, we can get your order out in 3-10 business days. Sometimes, it may take slightly longer, such as in the case of custom orders, back-ordered colors, etc. We will let you know of any delays as soon as possible and may offer alternative options or a discount on the current or future orders.
Q: Can I get my item sooner?
A: Of course! To be fair to the rest of our customers, we only ask that you pay a slight rush charge to jump to the front of the line. You can see your options in our Upgrades Section
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: On our site, we accept all major Credit/Debit Cards (direct checkout), and Paypal. Directly through us (in person), we also accept all major Credit/Debit Cards and Paypal.
Q: I don't have an account and don't want to create one, can I still purchase a Scriptum vinyl?
A: We strongly urge you to create an account when purchasing from our shop. This allows you to track your order(s) and will make the entire process easier. If you still don't want an account, you can just ignore the account activation email. We will work with you directly to keep you updated with your order. You can always shoot us an e-mail at Sales@CreativeFunVinyl.com as well.
Q: I tried to use the free shipping coupon (FREESHIP) with another promotional coupon and it won't let me. What should I do?
A: Unfortunately, our checkout system only allows you to use one coupon per order. Make sure to use the coupon that gives you the best deal. We may, at our discretion, credit your order the cost of shipping if the order still qualifies.
Q: How long does it take to ship?
A: Please see the "Production Questions" above for more details on the production process and processing times.
Q: Why is my item taking a while to get to me?
A: Typical domestic transit time for the USPS is 2-3 business days, for Priority, and 2-5 business days, for First-Class. International orders can take longer due to distance and possible delays in customs. Most orders will arrive in the estimated delivery time frame, but keep in mind that the USPS does NOT guarantee these estimates. If you have not received your item and it has been at least 10 business days since you received your shipping notification, please contact us so that we can figure out where your order is.
Q: Why did my order show "Undeliverable"?
A: This can be caused by a mistyped address, a forwarding request, or a multitude of other reasons. If we receive your package back, we will reach out to try and get an updated address. If you would like us to reship the order, you will be responsible for the shipping. If we do not hear back within 120 days of messaging you, we will consider the item abandoned and you will be required to repurchase the listing.
Q: My tracking number shows "Delivered", but I never received the order. What should I do?
A: In most cases, the USPS left your package at your house that may be different than normal. Make sure you check all around including in the garage if the door was left open that day. The next step would be to call the local post office to see if they have it on site. Occasionally, the package will be marked as "Delivered" but not show up for up to a week afterwards. If it has been 5 business days and the local post office does not know where it is, please contact us.

Q: How do I remove the vinyl in the future? Will it damage the surface?
A: Scriptum uses vinyl that will easily peel off most surfaces, usually without causing damage to the wall or paint. However, removal may require more care and work depending on the surface where it had been applied. When you are ready to remove the vinyl, you can optionally use a hair dryer on low heat to warm up the vinyl which will aid in a smoother removal. Slowly and carefully peel the vinyl straight back away from itself (parallel to the wall in the direction that you are peeling), not up or away from the wall. Putty knives or other scrapers (e.g. Lil Chizzler) work best on easily damaged surfaces like painted drywall or plastic to get the edges started. Razor blades are good for removing vinyl off glass and other harder surfaces. After you have removed the decal, you can remove any excess adhesive and residue with a product like Goo-Gone or lighter fluid (make sure these don't mark or damage the surface).
Q: What should I do if it damages the surface during removal?
A: That is mostly up to you. Usually the surface can be fixed with a "eraser" type wall cleaner or product. Here is our full Liability Waiver:
Liability Waiver - Unless otherwise required by law, purchasing from our shop waives "Scriptum LLC" of responsibility for damages sustained in the application, removal, or any other use of vinyl on any surface (including but not limited to, wood, glass, paint, stone, wallpaper, metal, plastic, or flooring). In some rare cases vinyl may alter, leave a residue, or permanently mark a surface and "Scriptum LLC" assumes no liability for damage or defect to any surface.
If you have a concern that a material may be damaged by our vinyl products, you may request a small sample WITH your order that can be applied to an inconspicuous location as a test. This does not guarantee that over time, the final product will not damage your surface.
